This morning, while opening the chocolate-a-day doors on the Advent Calenders my mom gave the girls, Evelyn looked at her little chocolate a moment, then looked up at me and said, "You know what, Mommy? I think it would be really nice if I just gave you a tiny taste of my chocolate." With swelling heart, I partook of a corner. As I did, Amelia put her hands behind her back, shook her head, and said, "Don't take MINE, Mommy."
I just love this phase of parenting.
