Looking out for Mommy

We've only been running the heat in our house for company, so it's pretty chilly around here. (I cannot boast about this, because Tim and Di have not turned on their heat at ALL yet this season.) Anyway, this means that, when I indulge in my rare and delightful hot shower, it doesn't take long to steam up the bathroom.

Yesterday I was showering and I could hear the pocket door start to open. Fearing the loss of my precious heat, I yelled out, "Shut the door! Keep the door shut! Don't let out Mommy's heat!" I could hear the pause as Evelyn peeked into the bathroom, and then I heard her frantic little voice cry, "MOMMY!!! Are you on FIRE????"

Go Tina! I might hold the record though, maybe another brag up LuraLynn story for Alan. The themostat for the out of doors currently reads a toasty 0 degrees and I just turned my heat up to an even toastier 65 degrees.

Well, let's just say it's less than 50 degrees in here. That's as low as our thermostat reads, and the needle has disappeared beyond it. We do use a space heater and close off the living/dining room during the day. But it is NOT 0 degrees outside!
