Celebrating Christmas with Aunt Lisa

We went over to Lisa's house the Monday before Christmas for a gift exchange and pizza party, which was a blast. I love that the girls take piggyback rides on the back of her wheelchair, and how Lisa has made the world of challenges a very normal part of our lives. Her love is infectious and enveloping, and she has become a special aunt to Evelyn and Amelia. Lisa designs her own greeting cards using her computer, and we hope to set up her own blog site soon--I'll keep you posted!

The girls love going to Lisa's house--her mom is a lively hostess, her family is warm and welcoming, she has a big dog and cats who all have toys, and there are always fascinating things around. Lisa had given them some holiday dresses which they proudly wore and Evelyn took some of the evening's best pictures. I don't think we did too much damage (Amelia managed to move a bunch of cat food from the food dish into the water dish...oh yeah, and she peeled some wallpaper off the wall...and rearranged that penguins-in-the-snow centerpiece...I retract that statement about not doing too much damage!) Regardless, it was a night of love and joy and delight! Thank you, Aunt Lisa!
