What a difference a few weeks makes!

Two weeks ago was the first day of the girls' spring break. Gotta love it when it snows on the first day of spring break!

This week the girls sat on the front porch to do their homework. Because it was cooler out there. (I can't believe how Evelyn looks like a girl. I mean, not a little child--a young girl.Wow.)

Two weeks ago Amelia built a snowman. A sideways snowman attached to the fence behind a dumpster. (Such is city life!)

This week she sipped smoothies on the front porch in the warm breeze.

Two weeks ago the girls found shelter from the snow under the Japanese Maple tree in front of our house. The snow was so thick on the tree that you couldn't see them if you weren't under it with them.

Today they reveled in the daffodils at the Cylburn Arboretum. (This is just the loveliest place! It's free and quiet and full of beautiful gardens and a great after-school destination.)

The front of our house two weeks ago. (See the Japanese Maple on the right? I think the girls might be under it in the picture. But you'd never know.)

The front of our house today. The trees are just days away from bursting into big pink puffs in our front yard!
