Belated Lent

So many things in my life are belated at the moment. And I've belatedly decided to give up saying anything that indicates how busy and frantic I feel. For one thing, everyone is busy and frantic. (As my sister-in-law Becky once stated matter-of-factly, "Everyone's busy and no one thinks they have enough money.") For another thing, unless I can do something about it, I should just draw on the grace for each day and practice contentment in all the things that are right and good and full of joy. There are lots of those.

And even though Easter is right around the corner, maybe I can keep this up until Earth Day. :)
