House of (your own) style

Last week Evelyn went through a phase where all she wanted to wear were these tea towels that my ND friend, BethArlene, had made for us as a wedding present (in dark colors so they wouldn't show dirt & grime--I love that 11 years later we're still using them daily. Actually, some of them have served as valances in first our apartment and then our house. Hmmmm. Maybe these tea towels inspire creative and atypical uses!) Evelyn would bring us a towel to be tied in the back. I particularly like it paired with (during a heat wave) winter tights and plastic princess "glass" slippers. It is one of several of her choice of outfits we will have to gently explain to her will NOT be appropriate for her mornings at preschool, which start next week.

Hey, I have the leftovers of those very same dish towels aka tea towels.

Very cool! In your spare time you can make me patchwork tea towels for some random reason (you know, the BEST reason you and I have for ever sending, making, writing, or mailing anything!)
