Personalities

One of Evelyn's classmates invited us to her street fair near the Farmers' Market--it is the same street cousin Kate & Jay used to live on--and it was AWESOME. There were lots of fun things to do for free, and the atmosphere was so family friendly. (Keep in mind it is the city version of family friendly, which means you see mothers nursing babies without coverups, parents with tattoos and dreadlocks, and children dressed in 100% organic clothing.) The girls had a blast.

And I love how the face paintings they chose belie their personalities: the shy daughter as the fierce tiger and the out-going daughter with the dainty vine of flowers on her cheek.

The girls are beautiful! And I have to admit that I thought they would've picked the opposite designs for their faces - I guess I didn't know their personalities well enough :( Miss you guys!

Ok... so I had to look up "belie" and I now see that we were in agreement! I'm a dork...

Still miss you guys!

Oh you make me laugh, Jess! We miss you too!! Our TNT group at AWANA is HUGE and I'm trying my best to make up for your absence, but it is NOT easy! You should see me scrambling to help Jen with tallying points and throwing the prizes behind "choose the right door" while the first question is being asked! It's hilarious, but I admit I thought of you and Andy a LOT. I want to order candy from Singapore just for fun. :)
