Mom and Dad had us over today to celebrate my little brother's birthday. Mom made steamed shrimp and the kids were hyper and crazy even before the cake and ice cream. They just get so energized by being together! Me, too.
On a more solemn note, Jon's wife Courtney lost her dad this week. His battle with Alzheimer's had been long and slow, but the end is still hard. How good to listen to Courtney's experiences and to rejoice and mourn together.
