It's cold again, so it's a little stir crazy around here. Evelyn is BESIDE herself in anticipation of smelling a rose, & when I had the opportunity to bring two home from a reception, she was in heaven. It inspired one of my favorite (to date) of her spontaneous songs. Amelia, as usual, is content and non-plussed in her own world while her sister makes absurd music. (The song actually reminds me of 20th Century Art Songs I've learned. Composers, anyone?)

I love the sweaty part. Jacob wasn't quite sure what to think of this clip. Jacob says, "Evelyn is funny, but a crazy girl."
That is my favorite part, too! And Jacob is RIGHT. :) (Alan & I think the clip starts out as Schoenberg's "Ancient Voices of Children," then morphs into something more Alban Berg.)
I was going for Schoenberg on that one too. I think she'd sing his songs better than I did.
Actually Tina, George Crumb is the Ancient Voices guy.....Schoenberg was the 12 tone row dude...I say Messaien.....lol
Thanks for setting me straight, Alan. One of the things that attracts me to you--you know your Crumb from your Schoenberg!
