February--when dairy farmers vacation!

Mindy & Raleigh ventured down from Upstate NY to stay at Andy & Jess's and have a holiday in Hamilton. What fun to add them & their kids to the goings-on! Beyond the regular weekly meals, we had an Asian-themed dinner at Tim & Di's on Valentine's Day (which included Shelley & our Appalachian Trail fellow hiker Melissa & her family) and enjoyed a gathering at our local Hamilton Tavern. (Mindy loved the farm-theme, so here are the pictures of the railing made from rakes, and the AWESOME front door made with the handle of some old farm implement. The restrooms are papered with the pages of old copies of classic literature--too cool! I think I'd like to do that in the girls' bedroom at some point.)

It was great to have Mindy & Raleigh, Anneke & Owen off the dairy farm and around for a while. (Thanks for the great beef and maple syrup you shared, too!) What a cool thing to know that Hamiltopia is now a vacation destination!

That was such a great week with Mindy and Raleigh! Thanks for all your support... :) I love how we posted the same picture from our night at Hamilton Tavern - and I have to admit, that was one of my favorite nights with them. :)

I had so much fun down there....everyone should consider Hamilton as a vacation spot! :)
It was so good to see you all and to feel like one of the "gang" again. Thanks so much for sharing those pic's...I, too, want to wall paper with the pages of old books.
I've also wanted to thank you for allowing us to crash Hamiltopia at your house on our way back from D.C.
Sadly, we missed you that evening. The soup was delicious and the home and company warm.
Thanks again, Mindy for all of us
P.S. We'd still love to have that beet soup recipe!
