North Dakota 2007

Alan golfing at Hawk Tree in Bismarck-our "grownup day" during which my mom watched the girls (and probably caught the notorious stomach flu that swept into the prairies with us.)

Evelyn enjoys a cone at the local malt shop in Garrison, the closest town to the family farm, now called "Camp KenneKee."

We went out to celebrate my Aunt Betty and Uncle Steve's 60th birthdays and enjoyed the company of family and farm friends we don't get to see very often. There were walks on miles of gravel roads, skipping rocks in Lake Sakakawea, many hearty meals, interesting conversations, games of horseshoes and cards, and lots of visiting.

While we didn't expect the stomach flu, it was a good opportunity to reflect on the beauty of wide open spaces...
